Irony, they call it as...

Maybe I spoke too early and too much about my health (at the tail end of my previous blog) - The creator up there would have taken notice and said, "Now then, you are being too optimistic about your health being in good shape, time to get realistic - Take That". Ironical isn't it??!

Yes, I have been down with an ailment for the past 3 days and still struggling to reach the 100% fitness mark, which I aspire to always. Let me speak about what I attained, instead of crying over what I possibly missed - for the simple reason, the former will be far lesser than the latter. I spent the entire weekend on bed, in front of the TV and the computer with bread and biscuits and of course tablets, surrounding me. Nice rest that, though I haven't done anything significant in recent times to demand one, but who cares.

Secondly, I watched India pounding the hapless Lankans (somehow love seeing them lose) in the second T20 match, Yuvraj, Sehwag and Dhoni all at their brilliant best and I had lots to cheer about. On the contrary, their abysmal catching made me contemplate the idea of breaking the TV and sneaking into the field - I would have taken at least one of those sitters, I bet.

To talk about what I missed, I certainly missed the two sessions of cricket on Saturday and Sunday morning. It has been over 14 days and I was longing to get onto the field but the weather and the virus had other ideas and laid me low. I missed participating in the Mid-Night Marathon event sponsored by the company, I would have loved to run on a chilly night. I missed a get-together in a friend's place (of course the food as well) in JP Nagar.

To compound my misery, my team Manchester United lost at home to Aston Villa, this was more painful than the fever, really. I felt terribly disturbed and low.

Coming back to office this morning, I felt like it was June 03rd. Traditionally, the school re-opens on that day (and thereabouts) and that was one of the dreaded days for many and me - am sure you too. Back then, my concern would be regarding what the class teacher is going to ask on the assignments given, am I going to be punished or is it one of those very few days where I'll be granted an escape. Now, my worry has been the amount of work that has been piled up and the tasks that are to be accomplished by me, with the deadline already behind me by a long way.

So far so good - Having successfully completed the 're-opening' day without many hassles, I happily am typing this to celebrate my 'achievement'.

But But But...Tomorrow isn't far off too!!! :(
